I made this dumb website because I'm bored in lockdown and trying to wean myself off social media. Everything earlier than this post is written retrospectively. Maybe I'll keeep it up to date!
A sad Christmas song released as part of Moshi Moshi records' yearly Christmas compilation. It's about the tories winning the election in 2019 (😠) but I didn't finish it in time for that Christmas so it came out at the end of 2020 instead! Hannah Wilson kindly provided the beautiful artwork for this and Joseph Futak mixed it!!
demo version of my song Rat Trials was included on DIY SOS (great name) - a compilation released to raise funds for Sister Midnight records. This came together really quickly but you wouldn't know it based on the outstanding quality of each and every song. It was organised by Tom of Double Dare and Ben aka Baggio and I couldn't be prouder of them. The artwork was lovingly donated by Charlotte Ager.
Included on the cassette compilation The Music Will Save Us Vol. 3 for Cassette Store Day 2019. Thanks to Sad Club Records!!.
This was my first release. I made this when I had no idea what I was doing (not that I do now!!). I put it out on cassette because I thought an unnecessary physical release might make me seem a bit more credible (lol). Then I gave most of them away to people at parties. Talullah (of Sad Club Records) somehow stumbled upon one of my songs when it only had about 30 plays on youtube and very kindly put this up in the display rack at the Brick Lane Rough Trade where she was working at the time. A few months later I received a lovely and supportive message from someone in Germany who had picked it up on a whim while visiting London - due to the beautiful artwork by Hannah Wilson I assume!
For the music video for Lilypad to Lilypad, I stuck together a bunch of royalty free (🤞) footage from old nature documentaries.
